Clinic states that owner applied two tubes of Advantage on this cat 48 hours ago. Today the cat has presented with "convulsions, and rigid". The owner bathed this cat, but no other treatment has been administered. Sited the mode of action of Advantage. Explained that even at increased doses, it would not be expected to see these symptoms with this product. Suggested to have owner bring packaging into clinic to verify product. Explained the symptoms following the accidental application of K9 Advantix to a cat, but it would be unusual to see symptoms 48 hours after exposure. Explained to not limit the rule outs for this case to the advantage, as the symptoms may be related to other causes.
