(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
6/15/2007 Owner called to report that dog has developed drooling, urinary incontinence, agitated and twitching. They suspect that dog has been poisoned somehow but they do not know to what compound. They recently put out these ant baits in the home, but the caller admits to not knowing whether or not dog got into one of these baits. Caller has already given the dog hydrogen peroxide in an attempt to induce vomiting. Dog has not vomited.Follow-up on 6/26/2007Owner states that dog is doing fine. DVM determined dog suffered an illness completely unrelated to the bait station.
Moderate
The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews.Exposure history reported in this case is based solely on speculation. Furthermore, even if a dog consumed the contents of one of these ant bait stations, such symptomatology would be unexpected. Finally, dog was confirmed by a DVM as experiencing an illness unrelated to the ant bait station.
