6/28/2007Caller's father sprayed product in an area where caller's cats' litter box and food is stored on June 18th. Caller was out of town and got back on the 24th and cat had developed diarrhea, anorexia, and hind limb paralysis while caller was out of town. Caller took the cat to the DVM that day who ran blood work, Metacam, and did radiographs. Cat eventually died while in the clinic. The vet was unable to determine the cause of the illness. No necropsy was performed.

For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews.Clearly defined point of exposure or direct contact with pesticide or pesticide treated surface is not evident and based on speculation. Even had direct contact with treated surface occurred, profound illness such as reported in this case would not be expected based on what is known regarding the toxicological profile of the active ingredients used in this pesticide at application concentrations.
