When used according to label directions the product has a wide margin of safety in dogs. No specific exposure was known or reported in this case, only that the product was used around the home where the dog resided. Ingestion of diluted product while wet on the treated area or following ingestion of treated grass or weeds may cause minor GI upset. Severe signs, including development of lymphoma or other cancers and death, are not anticipated. Glyphosate is considered to have a very wide margin of safety in dogs and is not known to be a specific cause of lymphoma in dogs. Also, lymphoma in dogs often presents with lymph nodes that are of increased size and not typically isolated masses away from the lymph nodes that are surgically removed. Other causes must be considered in this case, though a specific cause for development in lymphoma in dogs is not typically elucidated.
