On 08 Aug 2022, the animal owner applied the product topically to the dog. On 09 Aug 2022, the product may have been re-applied. On 09 Aug 2022, the dog developed heavy breathing. On 10 Aug 2022, the dog died. Medical care was not sought. No further information is expected.

Assessment: This product has a wide margin of safety. Mild dermal irritation is possible following topical use. If inhaled, mild self-limiting respiratory irritation may occur. If ingested, mild self-limiting GI irritation may occur. Neither delayed onset of respiratory signs nor death are not expected. Further information including veterinary examination, diagnostics, and necropsy may have been able to provide further insight about the cause of this dog's clinical signs and death; however, these were not performed. Other causes of the clinical signs in this geriatric dog including underlying respiratory disease, neoplasia, and other disease remain strong considerations. The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and cannot form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews.
