(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On 08-Oct-2021, a 4 year old, approximately 13.6 kilogram, neutered, male, Domestic Shorthair cat, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered 1 tube of Hartz UltraGuard Flea and Tick Drops for Dogs 6 - 14 kg (Phenothrin (Sumithrin)) via the topical route by the animal owner. This was an extra label use as the product is not intended for use on cats. On 11-Oct-2021, the cat developed shaking, ataxia, and dilated pupils. The cat spends a lot of time outdoors so signs may have occurred sooner but were not witnessed. The cat was bathed with unspecified dog probiotic shampoo and dish soap via the topical route by the animal owner. The cat was not evaluated by a veterinarian, no treatments were performed, and the clinical signs continued. Immediate veterinary evaluation was recommended. No further information was received.
