On an unknown date post application, in 2018, the canine was examined by a veterinarian, was diagnosed with diabetes and an unspecified pancreatic disorder. It was unknown if treatments were performed.
On an unknown date in Apr 2018, the canine died and it is unknown if a necropsy was performed.
Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product on another pet and not to report the death in this event.
No more information is expected and this case is closed.

Classification selon la gravité (s'il y a plus d'une catégorie possible, veuillez choisir la plus grave)
Mort
19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
N - Unlikely
Diabetes and pancreatic disorder are not expected following appropriate topical product application as inconsistent with product's pharmacological profile. Death is not expected too. Oral exposure to the collar is not expected to cause serious signs either. An overdose of 5 collars around the neck was investigated in adult cats and dogs for an 8 months period and in 10 week old kittens and 7 week old puppies for a 6 months period without causing serious signs. Other causes are more probable. Moreover, the owner does not seem to believe in product connection as the reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product on another pet and not to report the death in this event. Though some information is not available (time to onset, state of health and necropsy details), considering known intent of the call, a product relation is considered unlikely.
