11/17/2016 1:27:26 PM A dog owner reported that her dog ingested 8-10 blocks of the product approximately 1 month prior to the call. One week prior to ingesting the product, the dog had given birth to a litter of 5 puppies. The dog did not experience any clinical signs following exposure and the puppies had been nursing regularly without any abnormality. A friend of the caller was concerned about the exposure so the dog owner took the dog to the veterinarian on 11/16/16. Blood work was run which indicated the dogs blood clotting parameters were normal although the phosphorus was found to be low at 0.26mmol/l, and the amylase was also slightly low (no value provided). No specific diagnosis was provided and the dog was discharged. The veterinarian recommended a diet change and recheck exam.
