On an unspecified date post application, in approximately Jun2015, the canine developed an unspecified neoplasia and died. It is unknown if he was examined by a veterinarian or if a necropsy examination was performed. Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial call was to discuss the use of the product on another canine and not to report the death of this canine. No further information is expected. This case is closed.
À être déterminé par le titulaire
Classification selon la gravité (s'il y a plus d'une catégorie possible, veuillez choisir la plus grave)
Mort
19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
Neoplasia, followed by death is not expected in a dog after product application, as it is inconsistent with the pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Other causes are more probable. The owner did not believe in product involvement as the intent of the phone call to Bayer was to ask if the remaining product could be used on another pet and not to report the death of the patient. Even though some information is missing e.g., time to onset, age of dog, state of health, reason of treatment and necropsy not performed, considering the provided information including signs, chronology, the products pharmacological profile and the fact that an alternative cause was identified, a relation with the product is deemed to be unlikely.
