On an unknown date in approximately 2011, while on a car ride the dog began panting. The dog presented to the veterinarian 2 hours later and died. It is unknown if any treatments were provided and no known necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. This case is closed.

Note: Previous application was well tolerated. Panting is unspecific sign and may have numerous other causes. Panting occurred during a car travel. Death not expected in dog after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Dog died shortly after panting. Very long time to report (5 years) and very low information (medical history unknown - necropsy not performed) as the intent of the call to BAH was not to report the death of this patient but to inquire about the use of the product on another dog in the household. No signs of allergy/anaphylactic reaction reported. Even though time to onset unknown, occurrence of sign within window of allergic/anaphylactic reaction (within 1 day) unlikely, as would have been reported in close proximity. Dog tolerated previous applications well. Other causes more probable in this geriatric dog. Considering all aspects, a product connection is deemed to be unlikely.
