(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-38923075 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her three cats were exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. One day prior to initial contact with the registrant the reporter applied the product to her 9-year-old, 10 pound, female domestic longhaired cat (Subform III #1), to her 1-year-old, 13 pound, male Siamese (Subform III #2) and to her 1-year-old, 6 pound, female Siamese cat (Subform III #3) and about 10 minutes after application all cats were drooling lethargic and ataxic. The reporter brought her cats to the veterinarian where they were given fluids and an injection of Benadryl. At the time of the initial call the cats were still a little lethargic. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals but with ingestion drooling can occur because of the unpleasant taste. Ataxia is not expected although with application animals may walk abnormally because of the odd sensation on their skin. No further information is available.
