Owner was at her sister's house with the dog. Bait was in a bowl and owner saw the dog took a bite. Owner thinks WCS is 1 tbsp ingested. The next day dog was lethargic so they took him to the local clinic. PT test was fine and dog was put on Vitamin K. Owner doesn't want to renew the Vitamin K prescription because it is too expensive. She wants to know if it is necessary. First exposure. Owner was advised that this is not an anti-couagulant and the dog doesn't need Vitamin K. Concerns are for GI upset, but owner should have seen those signs by now. No treatment necessary. Owner or DVM can call with questions.
