1-35525706 - The reporter indicated that his dog was exposed to a rodenticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone. At the time of the initial call the reporter indicated that his dog got into the product a few days prior to initial contact with the registrant. The reporter stated that the product was on a shelf and the rats chewed the bag so that his dog could access the product. The reporter did not seek veterinary care at the time the exposure occurred. The reporter states that about two days ago the dog started acting funny and now the dog is vomiting dark red liquid. Immediate veterinary care was recommended. On follow-up call, three days later, the reporter indicated that he took his dog to the veterinarian where he was given vitamin K1 and kept overnight but the dog died the next day in the clinic.
