(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On January 22, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat was symptomatic. Later that evening, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the risk was for dermal sensitivity. The APSS technician recommended that the owner give the cat a small meal and call back in 1 hour if the pet had not improved after eating a small meal.
Modérée
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. Later on the evening of January 22, 2013 the owner called the APSS to update the case. The owner stated that she did give the cat a small meal earlier that evening and that the cat was still symptomatic. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner bathe the cat with a liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD), keep the cat warm in a towel after the bath, monitor the cat at home for dermatological signs, take the cat to the veterinarian if signs continued or were more than mild, and have the veterinarian call for information. On January 29, 2013 the owner's mother called the APSS to update the case. The owner's mother stated that at an unknown time she bathed the cat and monitored the cat at home for dermatological signs. The owner's mother also stated that the cat had experienced eyelid edema and injected sclera on the evening of January 22, 2013. The owner's mother said that the cat had fully recovered on January 26, 2013. The APSS technician recommended that the owner continue to monitor the cat at home for abnormal eye discharge, swelling, etc., and that if those signs occurred to take the cat to the veterinarian for an ophthalmic examination.
