(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-34568632 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that his goats were exposed to an herbicidal product containing the active ingredient Paraquat and to other non-registrant products (Glory Herbicide, Valor XLT and Crop Oil Concentrate) with unknown active ingredients. The reporter stated that the product was applied to a nearby soybean field seven days prior to initial contact with the registrant and during application some drift went onto the reporters property which per the reporter caused spots on some of his plant leaves and stunting of some plants. The reporter stated that less than seven days after product application one of his baby pygmy goats died (Subform III #1) and approximately 17 days after product application one of his adult pygmy goats (Subform III #2) died. The reporter did not indicate if the goats had any symptoms prior to their death or if any veterinary care was provided. The reporter did indicate that his other pygmy goats suffered from bloated and inflamed guts but when the reporter was contacted 13 days after initial contact with the registrant he indicated that these goats had received veterinary care and the symptoms had resolved. The reporter was advised that grazing on foliage that had been exposed to gramoxone drift is not recommended but studies have shown that grazing on gramoxone treated foliage is not lethal. The reporter confirmed that it could be coincidence that his goats got sick around the time of the drift. No further information is available.
