At 6:30pm, I applied this product as instructed. Within 2-3 mins the cat started foaming at the mouth, shaking his head, and spitting. Then he began jumping, running, screaming, and behaving as if he was having a seizure. This lasted for about 20min. Once he calmed down some he appeared very frightened of everything including me. Crawled into his litter box to hide. We brought out his carrier and he was happy to hide it there, somewhere he doesnt like to be usually. When I was finally able to pick him up, about 2hrs. he was very limp. He was very lethargic and not responding to us. We gave him a bath to try and remove product. Barely reacted to the bath, something he would normally fight. He fell asleep after bath. At 2am I noticed he was barely breathing, nose was very hot and dry. Very difficult to wake him, he could not get up. 6am still the same. After 2hrs of being awake he started to move about. We took him to the vet and were told that we were lucky he made it through the night.When I saw what was happening to our cat I looked up on the internet what others had to say about this product. I couldnt believe what I read. There were other cats that had very frightening experiences. These are just from people who think to share, what about all those that we never hear about. The vet had said that this is a very dangerous product to be using and should be avoided. He told us, `Animals are known to die from it. And that still 30% of animals that have the flush treatment from a vet, still die. I am very worried that there could be some lasting neurological after affects that he/we will have to live with because of the seizure this product had brought on. Products like this should not be on the market. I do hope that something can be done about it.
