1-34033677 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that his cat was exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter indicated that he applied the product to his 3.5 month old, female kitten 2 days prior to initial contact with the registrant. The reporter indicated that within 24 hours, the cat developed diarrhea and anorexia. The cat died in the morning of initial contact with the registrant. The reporter was advised that the signs and outcome were not consistent with the profile of the product or active ingredient. The reporter was offered necropsy service to determine the underlying cause of death of the kitten. The reporter did bring the kitten's body to the veterinarian to coordinate the necropsy. At the time of this report it is unclear if the animals remains were submitted for diagnostic testing. No other information is available.
