(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On August 19, 2012, the owner noticed that the cat was drooling. On August 20, 2012 the owner noticed that the cat was weak. On August 21, 2012 the owner observed that the cat was ataxic. Later that day, the owner called her regular veterinarian, who advised her to bathe the cat with liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD); the owner bathed the cat per her regular veterinarian's recommendation that evening. Shortly after the owner bathed the cat, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner bathe the cat with LDWD again, take the cat to the veterinarian, call back with questions, and confine the cat to a small room.
Mort
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. A short time after contacting the APSS on August 21, 2012, the owner called back to update the case; she stated that she had just bathed the pet with LDWD. On August 22, 2012 the owner called the APSS to update the case. The owner stated that the cat was getting worse and that the cat had started to experience head tremors and vomiting that day. The APSS veterinarian had the owner check the cat's gums, and the owner noticed that the mucous membranes were pale in color. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner take the cat to the veterinarian and have the veterinarian call for information. On August 25, 2012 the owner contacted the APSS to update the case. The owner stated that on August 23, 2012 the cat was vocalizing, and about an hour later the cat died. The owner stated that she did not take the cat to the veterinarian. A necropsy was not available because the cat's body had already been buried.
