On August 14, 2012 the owner noticed that the cat was vomiting. Later that morning, the owner noticed that the cat was experiencing additional symptoms. Later that day, the owner observed that the cat was no longer vomiting. Later that afternoon, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that drooling could be seen from the taste of the agent and that ingestion could also cause vomiting. The APSS veterinarian also said that heavy application of the product could result in depression and ataxia. During the consultation with the APSS technician, the owner observed that the cat was also ataxic. The APSS technician recommended that the owner monitor the cat's mucous membrane color and to check the gums for a healthy pink color, take the cat to the veterinarian, and have the veterinarian call for information.
