Domestic Shorthair Cat named Prince (Feline Domestic) Signalment 10.0 yr neutered male weighing 11.0 lb. Normal environment: indoors only. Patient Note [Note : No recent surgeries, no medications, no other known pre-existing health conditions. Per owner DVM stated there was something going on with the pancreas (possibly pancreatitis) but to monitor at home and make sure the cat was hydrated. (by (name) on Dec 05, 2011 at 02:02 PM)] Agent Exposure Roundup Weed And Grass Killer Ready To Use Plus Pump N Go Sprayer (observed agent id) Possible exposure occurred on Dec 05, 2011 at 09:00 AM CST (evidence ). Exposure involved 0.0 Not App (not specific) dermally and orally. The exposure was accidental, and occurred at animal owner yard. [Note : Owner had used the product on some plants in the yard. He thinks there may have been a few drops of the product that may have gotten on his shoes. Prince would frequently investigate owner's shoes, rubbing on them often. Owner's husband had come in the house around 09:00 after spraying the product. Cat was sitting in a room with the wife. Wife stepped out for a moment and when she returned to the room she saw the cat shaking its legs as if it's claws were caught in the blanket. The cat rolled from side to side once then went completely limp. Owner attempted CPR with no response. Cat was pronounced dead on arrival at rDVM. If signs develop, there is low risk that those signs will be life-threatening. [Note : At most mild GI upset could occur if ingested.
