(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On August 13, 2010 the owner saw the cat licking the dog who had been treated with the product. The owner stated the cat and dog play together and will groom each other. On August 14, 2010 the owner found the cat symptomatic, which stopped 15-20 seconds from that point, but then the cat started shaking. The owner then contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS technician relayed the APSS veterinarian's recommendations to take the cat to the veterinarian, have the veterinarian call for information, and minimize handling the cat to to help restrict any stimulus, which may trigger another seizure.
Modérée
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a high likelihood of causing the clinical situation. On August 17, 2010 an APSS assistant called the owner to follow up the case. The owner stated she had not taken the cat to the veterinarian, but had rather called the veterinarian and monitored the cat at home. The owner had also given the cat a bath with a mild dish washing detergent and gave her food and by that evening the cat had fully recovered. This product was not used according to label directions: Cats that actively groom or engage in close physical contact with recently treated dogs may be at risk of harm.
