7/21/2010 Caller reports spraying the product under patio stones near a pool 1 week ago. Caller also reports that a wasp spray and a weed spray were used at the same time as well. Caller does not know where the cat was during application, and had no witnessed exposure to the product. The cat was observed eating grass near this treated area a day or two after application. Over the past 3 days, the cat has developed anorexia, lethargy, sneezing, and shallow breathing. The cat is already at the veterinarian, and is being treated with intravenous fluids. 7/24/2010 Callback to the original caller for follow up. The cat was evaluated and treated by a veterinarian who determined that cat was suffering from a feline viral illness. The involvement of the three pesticides was ruled out. The cat is being treated with steroids, and is recovering.

The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews. Exposure cannot be verified. Signs and symptoms reported are not consistent with pyrethroid toxicity. Finally, a veterinarian has determined this animal suffered from a feline viral infection and ruled out the involvement of any pesticides.
