(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
Owner says they pick the bait up whenever the dog is around and there doesn't seem to be any missing. Today dog has been lethargic and is not eating or drinking. Owner found a pink colored diarrhea in the yard that had mucus in it. She is not sure if this could be related. The owner was advised that the bait is an anticoagulant rodenticides which can cause internal hemorrhage 3-7 days post ingestion. With early ingestion, decontamination. After decontamination, Can either monitor PT at baseline, 48 and 72 hours or start K1 at 3-5 mg/kg for 21-30 days, followed by a PT 48-72 hours after the last dose. Trigger dosage of concern is 0.02 mg/kg Owners do not feel that dog could have had access, but dog's coagulation ability should be checked. ER vet called later that day to find out what generation of rodenticide this is. Second generation active. Couple days later the owner called back and left an update that her vet had started her Westie on 3 days of K1 therapy and that the dog was doing great.
