(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
As per (name) at PMRA email to (name) at Agrium Advanced Technologies dated August 13, 2010 - My 4 year old cat went out the day the exterminator came (Saturday), I never even thought of the bees or wasps nest up in the ceiling posing a threat to her. I saw her that evening at 8:00 when I was going out for dinner. I wanted her to come in but she didn't want to and went over to the tree to sharpen her claws. That was the last I saw of her. Despite my efforts to look for her in the neighbourhood the next day since she hadn't come home, I didn't find her. That Monday morning I got a phone call from my vet's office. A man had called them since he found her and she was wearing her tags with their number on it. She was dead. I contacted the man to make arrangements to pick her up that evening when it was convenient for him. I talked to him and his wife. He said they were backing out of the driveway Sunday morning and that's when he saw her. He checked her at that time; she was dead and already stiff. I had asked him if she looked like she had been hit by a car or something, he said he didn't think so and that she looked fine, there was no blood on her. When I returned from burying her, I noticed white powder all over my balcony floor. I believe without a doubt that it was the ingestion of boric acid that killed her. She was very small, at most 5 lbs in weight and often groomed herself like a normal cat. I¿ve since contacted [NAME] to ask them to warn their clients about this danger, Nugro (the manufacturer of Boradust), and will be contacting M.A.P.A.Q. in Quebec to find out how to make it mandatory for these companies to hand out leaflets explaining possible dangers to pets.
