9/14/2023 On approx. 11SEPT2023, caller's cat began to experience lethargy, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and ataxia. Caller states that he uses RAID Max Double Control Ant Baits 2 in his cottage they are currently staying in, no ingestion or exposure was witnessed but caller would like to know if this product could cause these symptoms. Cat is currently being evaluated by a veterinarian. 9/18/2023 Follow up with owner: The owner brought the cat to the veterinarian the same day as speaking with us (14Sept2023). At the time the cat was brought in it was also down and unable to rise, dehydrated, and had unplanned weight loss. The veterinarian diagnosed [Name] with kidney failure and stated that he had small kidneys. The veterinarian noted that the cat had probably been sick for quite some time, and just was not showing symptoms. The veterinarian did advise the owner that the product was not at any fault for the symptoms or kidney failure. Due to poor prognosis the owner elected to euthanize.
