On 01-Jun-2023, Elanco was contacted by an animal owner regarding a Seresto small dog collar on their pet. On approximately 30-Mar-2023, a dog had 1 Seresto Small Dog (Flumethrin-Imidacloprid) collar placed around the neck by the animal owner. The product was used correctly. No known concomitant products were used.

On 01-Jun-2023, the 16.5 year old, approximately 7.2 kg, neutered female, Jack Russell Terrier / Boston Terrier crossbred dog, in unknown condition, with concomitant medical conditions of fleas, heart disease, pancreatitis, liver disease, bladder stones, losing weight, ear infection, and biting (pruritus), had continued biting (pruritus) and the animal owner suspected a lack of efficacy, however no fleas were visualized on the animal. Follow-up updated on 26 Jun 2023: The animal owner reported incidental death of this dog; owner stated the dog was just older and passed away on an unknown date. The dog lost appetite and lost weight before passing away. No other details provided.
