7. Describe symptoms and outcome (died, recovered, etc.).

The following was reported: Severe leaf distortion and stunted growth of leaves. Leaves show typical fasciated leaf shape associated with 2,4D drift damage. Damage occurred prior to bloom at approximately at 15 cm shoot growth. Berry set has been delayed and looks to be very poor. Expecting a significant loss of crop if not complete crop loss in 2020. Due to severity of the symptoms, there may be additional losses in future years. Symtoms stated to show up in the vineyard within a week of the application, getting more severe over the following 3 weeks. Bloom is now affected and we expect severe crop loss. Timing and application of the herbicide have been confirmed by the grounds manager of the neigbouring property. 15.7 acres of Gewurztraminer will most likely lose the entire crop which represents 15.7 acres and approximately 80 metric tonnes of fruit and $200 000 in value. In addition we expect to lose approximately 4 acres of Riesling and approximately 20 tonnes and $50 000 in value.
