1-49936985 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his cat was exposed to herbicide containing the active ingredients mecoprop P-isomer (present as acid) and 2, 4-D (present as acid). Approximately one week before the day of initial contact, the reporter applied the product to his lawn. Six days before the day of initial contact, the reporter let his 5-year-old, male, mixed-breed cat of unknown weight out on the lawn. Five days before the day of initial contact, the reporter stated the cat seemed ill and in pain, and had difficulty walking. Four days before the day of initial contact the reporter found the cat dead. The reporter was advised that the product would not be expected to cause such severe symptoms and death.
