9/17/2017 9:49:47 AM A pet owner reported that his dog died and was calling to ask what might happen if his dog had ingested this product. Based on the callers demeanor, it was very difficult to obtain information. The caller has Tomcat with Bromethalin bait chunks but would not state if they had been applied or how the dog may have had access to them. A few days prior to 9/1717 the dog was weak in his hind legs a few days ago and treated by a veterinarian with an unspecified medication. Following a brief period of improvement, the dog appeared to decline and was again examined by a veterinarian who sedated the dog but did not perform diagnostic testing. On an unspecified date, the dog developed rectal bleeding, bleeding from the gums, and more generalize bleeding. The dog died on 9/16/17. No additional information was provided.
