8/17/2017 2:45:41 PM. A pest control operator reported that a customer told him that cats in their neighborhood were eating dead mice and then dying, presumably from relay intoxication. He inquired about safety studies in feral cats vs pet cats. He remarked that, in the past, he had also received a similar report of customers being concerned about the product causing hawks/birds to die from eating poisoned rodents. An unspecified Contrac product had been applied in the customers yard.

He was unable to provide additional specifics of the incident such as the species of hawk, the alleged number of deaths, or the approximate date of the report. Given the number of unknown specifics related to this allegation, a conservative reporting approach was elected in this instance. An unspecified Contrac product had been applied in the customer¿¿¿¿¿¿s yard.
