On an unknown date, the cat developed symptoms. On an unknown date, the owner took the cat to the regular veterinarian who did radiographs, a chemistry profile, and gave antibiotics. On an unknown date, the cat was started on a bland diet. On October 10, 2017 the owner's daughter contacted the APSS to update the case and provide additional information. The APSS veterinarian stated that s-methoprene is an insect growth regulator (IGR). The APSS veterinarian stated that if ingested there could be hypersalivation and nausea. The APSS technician recommended the owner call back with questions.
