On May 24th an owner applied a dose of Advantage II for large cat topically to a 5.9kg 4yr neutered male domestic short haired cat. The owner was away for 8 hours and upon her returned she noticed that her white cat's hair had turned red.
The owner has been using this product on this cat for years without problems.

Color change of hair at the application site is not expected with appropriate topical product use. In individual cases it may be possible for the product to cause color transfer from certain materials when in contact with wet product on pet. As time to onset is short and application site is affected, product involvement is deemed to be possible.
