1-49547567 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her dog was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredients (S)-methoprene and D-phenothrin. Sixteen days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter applied the product to her 10-pound, 3-year-old, female Shih Tzu dog. An unknown number of days later, the dog had itchy skin, which developed into a rash, hair loss and oozing skin. The reporter indicated she bathed the dog and applied an antibiotic ointment and the dog skin is healed. The reporter was advised that this is not an expected reaction to normal product application.
