1-48310568 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her dog was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient D-phenothrin. Thirteen days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter indicated she applied the product to her 10-year-old, 27-pound, male cockapoo dog and two days later the dog developed pruritus, erythema, skin edema, and a rash. Nine days before the day of initial contact, the reporter sought veterinary evaluation for the dog, and the veterinarian prescribed a shampoo and medications. The reporter was advised that this is not an expected reaction to normal product usage and to continue to follow her veterinarians recommendations. No follow-up was attempted. No additional information is available.
