On April 29th an owner applied a dose of K9 Advantix II for small dog topically in 3 spots over the dorsal midline. The dog had received K9 Advantix for 3 years previously without a problem.

This time the dog became immediately uncomfortable and the skin at the application spot near the base of the tail became red and progressed to a hot spot. The dog was examined by a veterinarian on may 2nd and was given an anti-inflammatory cream, antibiotics and a bath. The outcome is unknown.
