(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
2/22/2017 6:50:25 PM A cat owner reported that she suspected her cat ingested this rodenticide on either February 18 or 19. During this time, feces that appeared to contain dye from the bait were found on the property. On Feb. 20, the cat began walking drunkenly. On Feb. 21, the caller found him paralyzed in a ditch and displaying signs of severe rigidity and disorientation. The caller states that the cat was seen by her veterinarian on both Feb. 21 and 22. Blood work from these visits was normal. The veterinarian suspected bromethalin poisoning and sent the cat home on pain meds as the pet owner declined hospitalization for financial reasons. The cat owner called back later on Feb. 22 to report that her had a seizure and began vocalizing. Immediate veterinary intervention was advised. On Feb. 23, the owner reported that she did not opt to seek medical intervention and found the cat passed away in the morning.
