(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
1/21/2017 9:17:05 AM After chewing through a bait station, a dog ingested approximately 75 percent of one block of bait. The dog presented to a veterinary clinic 7-8 hours after ingestion and, while asymptomatic, was observed to have evidence of bait in her feces. The dog was admitted to the clinic for treatment and later that evening transferred to an emergency veterinary hospital for overnight care. At that point, the dog displayed slight trembling which the pet owner attributed to nervousness. She still continued to pass bait in her feces. Medical treatment was discussed with both veterinary hospitals. On follow up, 2 days later, the pet owner reported that the dog passed away in the hospital but did not provide details regarding the timing of death, the clinical signs displayed by the dog, nor the treatment that was provided.
