On 23Jun2016, the cat died of unknown cause; no necropsy was preformed. The reporting party did not call Bayer to report the death of this animal but to discuss another product related question. No further information is expected. This case is closed.

Death is not expected after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. No signs of allergic/anaphylactic reaction reported. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. The reporting party did not call Bayer to report the death of this animal but to discuss another product related question. Even though some information is not available ( animal details, health status, medical history, time to onset and necropsy report), sufficient information exists to rule out product relation completely. Overall, a product relation is considered as unlikely.
