1-45880659 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her dog may have been exposed to a rodenticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter indicated her 7-pound, 2.5-year-old, female, Chihuahua dog had died after having difficulty walking that morning. One day before initial contact, the reporter indicated the dog had a fever. Two days before initial contact, the dog had vaginal bleeding. The reporter wanted to know if the product could have caused the dogs symptoms and death. The reporter did not witness an ingestion. The reporter was advised that the dogs symptoms could be consistent with ingestion of the product, and a necropsy was recommended to find out the cause of death. The reporter declined to have a necropsy done on the pet. No follow-up was done. No additional information is available.
