1-43734425 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her dog may have been exposed to a rodenticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone. The reporter did not witness any exposure. At the time of the call the reporter indicated her 12 week-old Pit Bull puppy of unknown weight, developed diarrhea the day before the report. On the day of notification, the puppy became anorexic and still had diarrhea. The reporter was instructed to take the dog to a veterinarian. On follow-up call three days later, the reporter indicated that the dog was taken to a veterinarian where it was diagnosed with worms and an infection. The dog passed away on the way home from the veterinarian. No additional information is available.
