12/14/2015 The caller reports her daughter's dog ingested a rodenticide containing bromethalin. The caller does not know when the ingestion occurred and does not know how much the dog ingested. Approximately 1 week prior to the report the dog began having seizures, running into walls, seemed off-balance, and experiencing difficulty seeing. The dog also developed excessive thirst and urination. Three days ago she had a seizures and was then taken to a veterinarian. On the way to the hospital, the dog had additional seizures and died. The veterinarian preformed a necropsy and took a liver sample for laboratory submission. The veterinarian speculated that dog died as a result of a toxin that worked quickly. No official diagnosis was obtained.
