1-41232081 - The reporter indicated that her mother may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient ferric HEDTA. The reporters mother applied the product in her garden twenty minutes prior to initial contact with the registrant. When she was spraying the product she thought she may have gotten some in her eye so she washed her eye with baby shampoo and water. At the time of the call the eye was turning red. The reporter was advised that ocular contact to the product may cause transient ocular irritation and a onetime flush with water was recommended. The reporter was further advised that washing the eye with baby shampoo may also cause short term irritation. The reporter could not be reached on routine follow-up attempts. No further information is available.
