On approximately 02-Feb-2013, a 7 year old, 18 pound, neutered male, Cavalier King Charles canine, in good condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered 1 tube of K9 Advantix II Medium Dog (Imidacloprid-Permethrin-Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner.

Fifteen minutes post application, the dog began rolling on his back. This lasted for one hour then resolved. On an unknown date post application, in Feb 2013, the dog developed an unknown cardiac condition and then died. No necropsy was performed. The purpose of the call to Bayer Animal Health was not to report the death of this patient but to inquire about the use of the product on another dog in the home. No more information is expected. Case is closed.
