(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
1-39616467 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her three cats were exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter applied the product to her 4-year-old, 5-6 pound cat (Subform III #1), her 2-year-old, 3 pound cat (Subform III #2) and to her 4 year old, female cat on the day of initial contact with the registrant. The reporters 4-year-old female cat did not develop any symptoms from the exposure but the callers 4-year-old, 5-6 pound cat and her 2-year-old 3 pound cat started drooling about 30 minutes after product application. The cats did lick the application site. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals but with ingestion drooling can occur because of the unpleasant taste. The reporter could not be reached on routine follow-up attempts. No further information is available.
