1-37101167 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her dog was exposed to a weed preventer containing the active ingredient corn gluten meal. The reporter states that her 8-week-old, male puppy ingested some of the product and is now vomiting. The reporter was advised that the product has a wide margin of safety but transient gastrointestinal irritation is possible after ingestion. Symptoms typically resolve spontaneously but veterinary care was recommended for any severe or persistent symptoms. The reporter could not be reached on follow-up. No further information is available.
