1-34288769 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her dog was exposed to an insecticidal spray containing the active ingredients Tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene. The reporter indicated that her mother sprayed this product on her less than 10 pounds Yorkshire terrier and Dachshund mixed breed dog. Three days later the dog started vomiting and at the time of initial contact it had vomited four times. The reporter was advised that there are numerous possible causes for vomiting and vomiting would not be expected three days after exposure to the product. Bathing with a hand dishwashing soap was recommended and veterinary care was advised for any severe or persistent symptoms. On follow-up call, three days later, the reporter indicated that the dog died one day after initial contact. The reporter did not seek veterinary care due to limited finances. The reporter indicated that before the dog died it also suffered from diarrhea. No further information is available.
