(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
1-31747319 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cat was exposed to an insecticidal flea and tick collar containing the active ingredient Tetrachlorvinphos and to a topical flea and tick product with unknown active ingredients. The pet owner reported that she had used the spot-on flea and tick product with unknown active ingredients for three years on her 7-year-old, 18 pound, male domestic longhair and she noticed some sores on the skin so she stopped using the drops and then two months prior to initial contact with the registrant she started using the registrant flea and tick collar on her cat and approximately one week after collar application the cat developed hair loss near the collar application site. The collar was removed but at the time of initial contact the reporter indicated that the cat still had sores which are no longer near the collar application site but on other areas of the cats body. The reporter has not yet sought veterinary care. The reporter was advised that some cats may have sensitivity to the product but symptoms would not be expected to persist. The reporter was advised to seek veterinary care for the persistent sores. No further information is available.
