1-31697500 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cat was exposed to an insecticidal spray product containing the active ingredients Tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene and to an insecticidal shampoo with unknown active ingredients. The pet owner reported applying the spray to her 3-month-old, female domestic shorthair four days prior to initial contact with the registrant. Approximately one week prior to initial contact she had bathed the cat with an insecticidal shampoo with unknown active ingredients. Approximately ten minutes after applying the spray the reporter indicated that her cat became ataxic, had an episode of diarrhea and vomited one time. The reporter washed the cat with water but the following day the cat was anorexic and one day prior to initial contact the cat passed away at home. No veterinary attention was sought due to limited resources. The reporter was advised that as indicated on package labeling combined use of multiple insecticidal products is not recommended. No further information is available.
