7. Describe symptoms and outcome (died, recovered, etc.).

Following a fire at a chemical distribution facility, water necessary to put out the fire drained into the facility¿s storm water collection system, which in turn drained into a local creek. An estimated 700-1000 dead fish were reportedly observed in the creek after this fire by the emergency response employee. Approximately 15 more dead fish per day were reportedly observed in the creek for an unknown number of days following this fire.

Submitter¿s product, MaxCel Plant Growth Regulator, which contains 1.9% 6-benzyladenine as its active ingredient, was being stored at the chemical distribution facility at the time of the fire. This product has not been classified as toxic to fish. Submitter is unaware of other products, from any other party, that may have been stored at the facility at the time of this fire.
