1-19573393: A reporter (cat owner) called on 08/19/2009 to report the exposure of his cat to a flea and tick spray containing the active ingredients Tetrachlorvinphos and Methoprene. According to the reporter, the product was applied to the cat on 08/18/2009. An unspecified time following product application, the cat became lethargic. The reporter stated that occasional lethargy was normal for the cat. The cat was found dead on 08/19/2009. The reporter was advised that the product is not expected to result in sudden death with routine product use. Animals may have individual sensitivities to ingredients in products. A recommendation was made to consider necropsy to determine the cause of death. No further information was obtained.
